AI, Security & the Digital Self at Alert Conference 2025

At the 2025 Alert Cybersecurity Conference in Zagreb, CEO of Velebit AI, Davor Aničić, addressed a pressing challenge in tech: balancing AI advancements with digital identity security.
During a thought-provoking panel with leaders from Visa and Darwinium, Davor addressed how AI can both threaten and strengthen security protocols. With generative AI increasingly capable of mimicking digital identities, he pointed out the growing need for next-gen authentication methods.
Even more intriguing was the future-forward perspective: What happens when AI agents start acting on behalf of users – buying tickets, executing transactions, or even negotiating contracts? The panel agreed: AI will soon need legal identities and cybersecurity must evolve accordingly.
